Bazofo: style and attitude

"Bu sta bazofo!" is something you hear all the time in Cova da Moura, a Cape Verdean community on the outskirts of Lisbon. Not only because most people here speak Cape Verdean Creole, but also because there are so many people here with great style.

Bazofo is inspired by everyday life in Cova da Moura—the streets, the friendships, the conversations, the spirit of resistance and djunta-mô (mutual support). I hope that anyone who wears a Bazofo piece feels strong and confident.

Bazofo's main products are t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, and tote bags. Depending on the season, we also have caps and beanies.

 

Bazofo products are Fair Wear certified, made from sustainable materials, and are vegan. I also work with seamstresses from Cova da Moura.

 

I do the printing for all Bazofo products at the Dentu Zona studio. I use sustainable, water-based inks that are free of PVC, phthalates and heavy metals.
