What do we mean when we say Bazofo is “as ethical and sustainable as possible”?

It means that whenever possible, we use recycled or organic fabrics. Currently we use organic GOTS, OEKO-TEX® and OCS certified fabric for the hand-made products, Zito and Jon Roque. The white print t-shirts are Fair Trade and made of organic cotton.

The African fabrics are from different sources, which means that we don’t necessarily know their origin, and they are not necessarily organic either. However, we always use high quality African wax print fabric that always comes with a quality seal.

As much work as possible is done in Cova da Moura by local professional tailors. Zito and Jon Roque are hand-made in small Cova da Moura ateliers, along with the modification of Somada. You can read more about Aunty Alice here.

Are the African fabrics always the same?

We usually get only one or a few of the same wax print fabrics used in Somada and Zito. This means that each edition is limited and unique, and your shirt or bag will be marked with information regarding the number of pieces of each edition. The details on the products are up to date, so when ordering you will get the product with the fabric you see on the small image.

Where can I buy Bazofo products?

You can order online. You can occasionally buy our products in Cova da Moura’s Tabacaria Tropical shop, and sometimes we participate in markets in Lisbon. Follow our social media channels for further informations!

How do I order and pay?

Just pick your product in the right size in our shop and pay by PayPal. If you have any issues, please send us an e-mail to info@bazofo.com.

How do you deliver the orders? How much does it cost?

We send your order within 1-2 working days after we have received the payment. They are sent using the Portuguese CTT tracked mail service. The delivery usually takes less than 10 days, but depends on the location.

EU: €6
Rest of the world: €7

Can I return or exchange my order?

Of course! You should return the product within 14 days after you received it if you want to exchange or return it. We can only return or exchange products that are returned in their original state, with the tags on and together with the receipt and the return form properly completed.

Since the product to be returned is your responsibility until we receive it, we suggest that you opt for a tracked delivery. We will let you know by e-mail when we’ve proceeded to reimbursement or have sent you a new product.
